Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken is on the move again. Shortly after Liquid announced his departure, the 25-year-old Canadian rifler is heading back to FaZe Clan. His first match is already scheduled for ESL Pro League Season 22.
Back to Where He Shined the Brightest
Twistzz’s return to FaZe isn’t just a transfer — it’s a reminder of where he hit the highest peaks of his career. Between 2021 and 2023, he lifted some of Counter-Strike’s biggest trophies: a Major title, IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, and an Intel Grand Slam. He also made HLTV’s Top 20 list three years in a row. Those years shaped his reputation as one of the most complete riflers in the scene.
Leaving FaZe at the end of 2023 wasn’t exactly a dramatic exit, but he admitted later that slow contract talks and a desire to try playing with a younger roster pulled him toward Liquid. The experiment didn’t pan out the way he might have hoped. Liquid shuffled players constantly, Twistzz briefly tried (and abandoned) in-game leading, and results never quite matched the talent on paper.
Feeling speechless the last days. After Fissure I will make a longer post. As for now, I’m very happy and thankful to reunite with the organization and the players.
Going to focus on the current event and get this roster some points before exiting.
Thank you once again for the warm welcome and support. ♥️
