FaZe Clan has confirmed one of the biggest roster changes in recent memory: Håvard “rain” Nygaard, a player who has been part of the team’s identity for nearly a decade, is moving to the bench. Taking his spot is Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, who rejoins FaZe after a stint with Team Liquid.
The move is part of a larger deal involving Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, who heads to Liquid in exchange. Twistzz’s return feels like a throwback—he was central to FaZe’s most successful years between 2021 and 2023, winning the PGL Major in Antwerp, the Intel Grand Slam, and lifting trophies at both IEM Katowice and Cologne. His reintroduction may signal FaZe’s attempt to recapture that winning formula.
Rain’s benching, however, is hard to ignore. Since joining FaZe in 2016, the Norwegian rifler has been more than just another player—he was often seen as the heartbeat of the team, sticking through countless roster shuffles and delivering on the biggest stages. To see him step aside now feels like the end of a chapter, if not the book itself. Whether this is a temporary pause or the start of his final transition remains uncertain.
