New All-Turkish Lineup Targets Comeback
On May 11, 2025, Turkish esports organization Eternal Fire revealed a new all-Turkish CS2 roster, signaling a fresh start after the departure of their previous team to Aurora. Led by seasoned players Calyx and imoRR, the organization hopes to rebuild its reputation and promote Turkish talent on the international stage.
We continue to contribute to Turkish esports not only with our A team but also through our Academy and Young Team projects. Our goal is not only to take part in tournaments but also to successfully fly the Turkish flag in the international arena.
Veteran Duo to Lead a Young Core
Calyx and imoRR bring significant experience to the lineup, having played 359 maps together for Eternal Fire, including a memorable run at the PGL Antwerp Major in 2022. This veteran presence is expected to stabilize a new, younger core drawn from the lesser-known PCIFIC team.
While lugseN and EMSTAR held key roles in PCIFIC, their responsibilities will shift under the new structure. imoRR is set to take on double duty as both AWPer and in-game leader, marking a significant tactical shift for the team.
New Players and Roles

High Expectations After a Difficult Transition
The formation of this new lineup comes after Eternal Fire’s entire previous roster transferred to Aurora. That roster had achieved significant success, including finals appearances at two major events. Their departure, reportedly due to limited sponsorship opportunities in Turkey, left a noticeable gap.
Community Reactions
The community response to the roster announcement has been marked by clear skepticism. Many fans question whether the new lineup has the skill and experience needed to qualify for even mid-tier events. Some also criticized the decision to form another nationality-exclusive roster, suggesting it reflects a broader trend in the scene that limits diversity.
While also expressing doubts, some recognize the financial motivations behind the move. With the previous roster leaving due to limited sponsorship opportunities, some believe this new lineup represents a more budget-friendly approach rather than a serious push for top-level competition.
Final Thoughts
Eternal Fire’s new roster represents both a gamble and an opportunity. Combining veteran leadership with fresh talent under coach ElPrincipe, the organization aims to develop a unique playstyle and return to the international spotlight.
While early skepticism is strong, the first matches will be critical in proving whether this lineup can rise to the challenge and restore Eternal Fire’s former glory.
