Big Changes for FaZe Clan
On May 5, 2025, FaZe Clan announced that Helvijs “broky” Saukants has been benched after nearly six years with the team. Broky has been a key player during some of FaZe’s biggest successes.
The decision comes just before major tournaments like IEM Dallas and the BLAST.tv Major in Austin. FaZe is making this move to shake things up after a rough start to 2025, including early exits from several big events.
s1mple Joins FaZe on Loan
To strengthen their roster, FaZe has added Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev on a short-term loan from NaVi. Known as one of the best CS:GO players ever, s1mple is expected to bring top-tier skill, experience, and leadership to the team.
He will be with FaZe until the end of the Austin Major in June. During this time, the team hopes to improve their performance and test out the new lineup.
The move is seen as a bold step to bring fresh energy and much-needed firepower to a team that’s been struggling with consistency in recent months.
Why Broky Was Benched
Broky has been a fan favorite and a key player for years. He helped FaZe win the PGL Major Antwerp in 2022 and earned several MVP titles. But his recent performance dipped, with below-average ratings in late 2024 and early 2025. FaZe’s decision to bench him seems focused on reviving the team’s form before key tournaments.
FaZe’s current roster:
🇩🇰 karrigan
🇳🇴 rain
🇺🇸 EliGE
🇸🇰 frozen
🇺🇦 s1mple (loan)
🇵🇱 NEO (coach)
🇱🇻 broky (benched)
The CSGOAT is back - and he's on our side now.
