Players Can Now Earn XP Through Weekly Missions
Valve has rolled out an exciting new update for Counter-Strike 2 on May 8, bringing weekly missions to the game for the very first time. Every week, players will now have the opportunity to complete a unique mission accessible from the main menu or play menu. Each mission stays available for exactly seven days, rewarding players with valuable XP when completed. This system aims to keep the gameplay fresh, offering both casual and dedicated players new weekly challenges.

Enhanced Audio Settings and Bug Fixes
This update also introduces a helpful new audio setting: the “Main Menu Ambience Volume” slider, allowing players to adjust the volume of background sounds on the main menu screen. Alongside this addition, Valve fixed several audio-related bugs, including issues with sounds failing to play consistently when shooting opponents through smoke and problems with sounds skipping or being inaudible.
Lastly, several outdated audio console commands have been permanently removed to simplify settings and improve overall gameplay experience.
